Yes! According to a report by Strategy Analytics, Broadband subscriptions should be doubling by 2011.
According to the report, 2007 will finish with 16.4 million broadband subscriptions in Latin America, which represents an increase of 34.9% from last year.
Latin America is the second fastest growing region as regards broadband, only second to Central/Eastern Europe.
Broadband penetration is already big among Livra’s Panel*, being:
- 60% in our Argentine Panel
- 55% in our Brazilian Panel
- 52% in our Mexican Panel
*This is the percentage of people among our panel who have told us they have a broadband connection at home.
The contrast with our European panels is quite big though, Spain and Portugal both have around 80% broadband penetration.
