In case you still thought this “internet thing” was some sort of fad, well, the latest eMarketer Internet penetration survey reports that…

“more than one billion people in the world have access to the Internet, with a quarter of them with broadband, or high-speed connections.”

This of course if fantastic news for the online research world, but when we thought it couldn’t get any better…

“The survey found Latin America was the fastest growing broadband region worldwide, achieving 70 percent subscriber growth. But it had just 70 million people online.”
