Kotaku gets in trouble for publishing Burger King’s new Xbox game pictures taken from Greenfield survey…

This is quite interesting, I don’t recall something like this happening before. Kotaku.com is a very popular gaming blog (owned by Gawker Media, best known for Gizmodo, Valleywag, Treehugger, Defamer, and so on..).
Apparently, Greenfield Online was running a survey for Xbox where they showed some concepts to respondents to choose from. One naughty respondent kept these pictures and sent them over to Kotaku. Of course this violates Greenfield’s terms & conditions, but shows how difficult these sort of things are to control, especially with stuff like videogames which people are really eager to find out what’s coming out next.

We never had a similar problem in Livra, but interesting to learn from this experience and make sure that it is not “that easy” to grab or copy images from a survey. Of course there is always the possibility of making an “analog” copy of that picture, and there is really nothing one can do about that.

Anyway, read the Kotaku posting (and Greenfield’s letter) by yourself…
